X Pole Silkii – Pole Silks Attachment Review
If you’re new to Pole Dancing then you’ll probably have heard of X Pole by now, there’s a good chance that your pole dancing studio uses X Poles! As I’ve already mentioned, they are the industry leader in manufacturing pole dancing equipment. Due to popular demand, however, they’ve recently branched out into other aerial equipment that can be used at home.
The SILKII is a perfect example of how demand has shaped the aerial industry. Pole silks are a relatively new concept, and the SILKII is a very new product to the market.
The SILKII is a set of aerial silks that attaches to your pole dancing pole – officially this is known as “Pole Silks Attachment”
X Pole already manufacture and sell several different types of very high quality portable dance poles, including the X Pole Sport (static only pole), the X Pole X Pert (static and spinning pole) and the X Pole Stages (freestanding static and spinning poles with podiums).

What is the X Pole SILKII Suitable For?
The X Pole SILKII is suitable for home and professional use by pole dancers and aerialists of all levels. It’s suitable for brand new beginners and experienced experts.
However, there are a few pre-purchase requirements…
- 40 or 45mm X Pole Stages or XPERTs ONLY – if you have an X Pole Sport or a 50mm pole then the SILKII is not compatible.
- If you want to use the SILKII Pole Silks Attachment with an XPERT Dance Pole, it must be permanently mounted to the ceiling, it is not designed for use with the dome that’s held in place by tension.
- You need your own set of existing silks to attach to the SILKII, the silks are NOT included with the SILKII
It’s very straightforward to mount your pole into place with a few tools that you can buy directly from X Pole.
The X Pole XPERT is extremely stable, but the added sideways pressure of using the SILKII pole silks makes it unsuitable for use without a permanent mount.
Many pole dancers use X Poles in their homes and attach the SILKII when they want to switch up their routines a bit, as they’re so easy to attach and remove, they make for an ideal addition to your existing dance pole set up.

Pro Tip:
It’s very useful to have a magnetic spirit level to ensure the pole is completely straight before using your SILKII. If you don’t have one, then visually align the pole with a door frame, it should be completely parallel. It’s worth noting that your door frame may not be 100% straight!

You need to already own several expensive items – unfortunately, due to the nature of the SILKII it does require you have a fairly expensive dance pole AND fairly expensive aerial silks before you can buy this product. If you don’t already have both of these, then you can’t make use of the SILKII.
