Pinty Professional Portable Dancing Pole Review | Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole

What is the Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole Suitable For?

The Pinty Pole is perfect for beginners as an entry level pole, or budget pole for those who are more experienced. You should only perform simple, beginner moves on a pole such as this, as it lacks the stability and professional standard set by companies such as X Pole and Lupit Pole.

The Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole should not be used for moves with extreme sideways force, such as spins with a lot of momentum, extended butterfly, iron X, flag, etc.

It is, however, suitable for basic climbs, inversions, poses, holds, pull-ups, stretches and floorwork.

Main Features of the Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole

  • Fully removable, the pole is held in place with no need for fixtures on the ceiling
  • Comes with DVD instructions
  • Completely portable and breaks down into pieces for easy transportation
  • Silicone rings on the top and bottom helps prevent slipping and movement and protects the floor and ceiling from scratches

  • The maximum height 106.5 inches (over 8 ft), it’s also advertised that it can be as short as 46.5 inches
  • The pole comes in a Chrome finish only
  • The pole when up has a seamless finish, ensuring the whole surface is smooth to prevent catching.
  • Pole can be either Static or Spinning

Pros and Cons of the Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole

The pros and cons of this pole are:

Pros:

  • The Pinty poles low cost is great for people on a budget or unsure of investing larger amounts in a more popular brand.
  • Everything is included in the purchase including tools, so no need to source things like the correct Hex keys.

Cons:

  • The Pole is advertised as being static but also able to spin, we and many others have found this to be a difficult transition. It is advised that you have to loosen the two hidden screws at the bottom of the pole, this is to disengage the pole from the spinning element. The process is hit or miss.
  • Build quality seems also to be hit or miss, people have found that certain screw threads do not match and are unable to put the pole together, or parts have been missing on receiving delivery.
  • Although the pole does have a 440lb (200kg) load capacity, others have found flexing and bending in the pole.
  • The Pinty Pole has no official website (that we could find through searching) although we didn’t need to return or resolve any issues, this means you will have to deal with sellers who may be able to source spares or replacements for you if anything goes wrong.

Conclusion

The Pinty Professional Portable Exercise Pole is a perfect budget starter pole, to begin your journey and possibly/eventually move on to a more expensive and well known branded pole.

This is a budget dance pole and is not meant for extreme or advanced moves. You should only use this pole for basic climbs and inversions, floorwork, poses and stretching. Do not attempt to perform advanced moves using the Pinty Pole as it is not designed for this.

If you want a more durable pole, suitable for dancers of all levels, then check out the X Pole Sport or X Pole XPERT which may be a more expensive option but these poles will last for your entire pole fitness journey, rather than having to replace it in a few months time when you want to move on to more advanced tricks.

However, if you’re not looking to be the world’s next pole dancing champion, and you just want a home pole for some gentle workouts, then this pole will be perfect for you. Always follow basic safety precautions when pole dancing at home, even if it’s less dangerous tricks!

Price

You can usually pick up a Pinty Professional Dance Pole for under $100. However, the price may change so it’s worth checking. This is a huge difference when compared to the price of well-known brands of dance pole!
