Are you considering buying yourself an X Pole? They continue to be the industry leader in pole dancing and aerial fitness equipment, and they currently sell some genuinely unique pole and aerial fitness products. This article is an overview of the X Pole brand and the various products they sell.

If you’re new to Pole Dancing then you’ll probably have heard of X Pole by now, there’s a good chance that your pole dancing studio uses X Poles! As I’ve already mentioned, they are the industry leader in manufacturing pole dancing and aerial fitness equipment.

I am a long-term fan of X Pole, I own multiple dance poles made by them and I would fully recommend these products to anyone.

First, let’s learn a bit more about the company…

About X Pole

X Pole launched in 2003, selling dance pole equipment designed to be used at home. Their target market was those who wanted to practice pole fitness in the comfort of their own home. It was also around this time that pole dancing and pole fitness exploded in popularity, with classes and pole studios popping up everywhere! It was the ideal time to bring innovation with home fitness equipment to the mass market.

15 years later, X Pole has continued to innovate and improve their products. They launched the first bottom-loading dance pole that doesn’t require ladders or drills, as well as created a dance pole that can switch between ‘static’ and ‘spin’ modes without the need for a tool. They’ve recently expanded into the aerial fitness equipment market (because pole and aerial go so well together <3) and have bought freestanding aerial rigs, lollipop Lyra hoop, and flying poles to the masses, once again being the true innovators of pole and aerial fitness.

X Pole are a staple in the pole community, being a key part of instructor training, events, and competitions around the entire world.

X STAGE & X STAGE Lite

X Pole currently sells two free-standing dance pole stages called the X-Stage and X-Stage Lite.

Both of these stages are available in different materials and diameters. Both the X-Stage and X-Stage Lite has a round podium/base. They can also be used in ‘static’ mode or ‘spin’ mode and you can easily change the static/spin depending on your needs.

Both the X-Stage and X-Stage Lite are freestanding dance poles supported by a round metal base. The podium pieces are 6 large wedges that slot together over the base, and the pole stands tall in the middle. It is the large, heavy base that gives the pole stability.

The main difference between the X Pole X-Stage and X-Stage Lite is the podium height. The X-Stage has a podium height of 320mm whereas the X-Stage Lite is just 110mm. The overall height of the product is about 10 feet.

X Pole Stage Vs X Stage Lite Podium Height

As the X-Stage Lite has a much lower podium, it’s less suitable for use on rough/uneven surfaces (if you’re planning to use your pole outdoors). The lower podium means slightly less stability on uneven surfaces, but greater portability.

Main Features

  • The user can easily switch between ‘static’ and ‘spin’ modes
  • Extremely stable and safe to use
  • Option to increase stability without extendable legs on the base
  • Additional of ‘optional’ barbell weights.
  • Adjustable feet which will reduce movement on uneven floors
  • Silicone Base Pads which stop the stage from sliding and protects the floor.

The aerial hammock is what you use to practice aerial yoga, which is sometimes called anti-gravity yoga or zero gravity yoga.

X POLE TV

X Pole has also launched their very own online pole dancing lessons, including The Art Of Pole by Jamilla Deville which is an amazing course taught by a true professional.

X Pole TV

The Art of Pole was one of the very first Pole Dancing DVDs I ever owned, and it’s absolutely incredible guys, and I still refer to it very often. The DVD set contains five DVDs, each one getting more difficult. There is even a beautiful routine at the end of each DVD featuring all of the moves covered. They’re all available online with X Pole TV.

These really are excellent instructional videos by a world-famous pole dancer, Jamilla Deville, and there are some warm-up and cooldown routines too. This even includes a series of imaginative routines performed beautifully by Jamilla wearing some beautiful costumes for inspiration.
