Hopefully, you will like these suggestions. If you have any ideas to add to this list, please leave a comment below 🙂
1. Massive Attack – Angel
This stunning song by Massive Attack has Horace Andy providing the haunting, but beautiful vocals. It makes for a great pole dancing song for those emotive, intense routines.
2. Fugees – Ready or Not
This classic song has a really melodic sample playing alongside the beat. It’s perfect for flowing pole dance routines, especially those routines which are choreographed to tell a story.
3. Melanie Martinez – Carousel
Round and round like a horse on a carousel… This tune has a haunted fairground feel to it, and it was used in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Tunes like this give pole dancers endless creativity to create beautiful routines.
4. Urge Overkill – Girl, You’ll be a Woman Soon
This is so so so perfect for pole dance routines! This is such a cool song, from the infamous Pulp Fiction Soundtrack, it’s got the perfect rhythm for flow and floorwork – it’s just dying for someone to create a beautiful routine to this song 🙂
5. Grace – You Don’t Own Me
This song, originally recorded by Lesley Gore in 1964 is about women being in control of their own actions, bodies and lives.
So, using it as part of a pole dance routine is very apt.
The chorus of this song is essentially one huge crescendo, giving you the chance to build up to a big finale. You could climb higher and higher up the pole, before a death-drop or slide all the way down to really grab the audience’s attention!
6. Air – Sexy Boy
This song by the French band, Air, is instantly recognizable as a very sensual song. It was from the soundtrack of the 90s movie ’10 Things I Hate About You’ (there are a lot of 90s songs on this list so far…)
Due to its seductive tune and floaty vocals, it also makes for a great pole dancing song!
7. Tove Lo – Habits
Habits, recorded by Swedish Artist Tove Lo, features very hedonistic lyrics and a strong female lead vocal – making it a great backdrop for a pole dancing routine.
8. White Stripes – I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself
This version of this infamous song is especially great for pole dancers because it features a pole dancer in the video!
Well, she’s not really a pole dancer. That is Kate Moss, who is a supermodel, and the routine in the video is pretty but we know we can do better than this!
9. Rag & Bone Man – Human
Human, by British recording artist Rag & Bone Man, is another intensely melodic song, with the right amount of rise and fall to inspire pole dancers to create beautiful routines to!
10. Hozier – Take Me To Church
This 2014 hit is full of emotion, making it great for storytellers who like to tell stories through their dance routines.
The first verse is slow and disjointed, while the choruses are an intensely melodic tune for a dancer to lose themselves in.
11. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive
If you’re hoping to choreograph an intense pole dancing routine, then look no further! This song has all the elements needed for an intense routine.
