Most pole dancers use some form of grip aid when practicing or performing. It’s especially important to use grip aid if slipping is an issue, for safety purposes! The last thing you want is for your sweaty palms to cause you to slip off the pole!
Vegans are Pole Dancers too!
If you live a vegan lifestyle then you’ll be pleased to know that there are many grip aid products which are Vegan-friendly.
In this article, we will list all of the pole dance grip aid products that are suitable for vegans, have not been tested on animals and do not cause harm to our natural environment. Also, at the end of the list are products you’ll want to avoid if you’re vegan!
Vegan Pole Dance Grip Aids – Cruelty-Free Pole Dancing Products!
Vegan lifestyles have increased in popularity over the last few years. This is a good thing as being vegan has many other environmental benefits besides animal welfare. When it comes to pole dancing and you’re vegan you’ll want to know that the products you use are cruelty-free. The following products are confirmed to be vegan-friendly:
Gorilla Snot
Main ingredient: Tree Resin
Despite its name, this is a fantastic pole dancing product! Gorilla Snot is a very sticky Grip Aid, it’s also used by musicians such as guitarists and drummers to help them keep hold of their plectrums and drumsticks! It’s also widely used as a sports grip. It’s suitable for use with sweaty hands and dry skin (both sweat and dryness can cause problems with grip when pole dancing). It only works once it has been activated by rubbing your hands together, and when you’re done it dissolves/evaporates into the air. Good news – this product is cruelty-free!

Main ingredient: Resin
Stickum Spray Grip Enhancer is one of the most sticky pole dance grips available! It’s known as “super glue for the body” – which is one hell of a statement! The only problem with stickum spray is that it “re-activates” with water so it’s difficult to remove from your skin! And you also need to clean your pole much more often with these sticker types of grip aids. Mueller Stickum Spray Grip Enhancer is a vegan-friendly product.

Mighty Grip Powder
While Mighty Grip powder doesn’t contain any animal-derived ingredients and it hasn’t been tested on animals, its main ingredient is thermoplastic. Mighty Grip may appear to be a cruelty-free product, but it technically isn’t. When you wash Mighty Grip from your hands, plastic enters the water supply and eventually ends up in the sea. Microplastics in the sea causes a major problem for marine life, as they eat the tiny bits of plastic.

Gorilla Gold Grip Enhancer
Like iTac2 grip aid products, Gorilla Gold Grip enhancer is made from beeswax, and so it’s not suitable for vegans. On the otherhand, it is reusable and does not need replacing very often like some other grip products.
